Why Join the Friends?
Throughout the year the Friends of the Vancouver City Archives hosts a number of interesting events including panels discussions, slideshows, historical walking tours, community outreach events and book launches. As we are always trying to raise money to support the work of the City of Vancouver Archives, a nominal admission is charged to the general public but we also hold special free events for members of the Friends. These are usually specially themed slide show nights featuring specially selected images from the CVA archival photo collection.
There is a number of ways you can join the Friends
Individual ($20.00), Family ($30.00), and Corporate/Organization ($30.00). A tax receipt will be issued for donations of $25.00 and over.

Membership Renewal Information
The membership year is January 1st to December 31st. A member is considered to be in good standing until the Annual General Meeting, held in March. Members joining in the last quarter of the year (October, November or December) will be considered members for the following year.
A membership renewal form is mailed out to all current members in January. An additional mailing concerning the Annual General Meeting, minutes of the last Annual General Meeting, and financial information is mailed out in February.
Members may send in the membership renewal form, with payment, in advance of the Annual General Meeting or renew on the day of the meeting.
